Hunger Gap CSA Vegetable Box - April 17 to June 5, 2026 (8 weeks)

CA$240.00
sold out

April 17 to June 5, 2025: This is a one-time purchase for 8 weeks of our CSA program.

Our CSA Program is a weekly pick-up of fresh organic salad, roots and cooking greens, harvested at the peak of freshness. Some of these greens are rare, and you won’t find them in the grocery store - we grow heirloom european varieties like agretti, minutina and claytonia, in addition to the tried and true favourites like kale, lettuce and spinach. This seasonal share may also incorporate some vacuum-packed & frozen goods made from our produce at the height of the season, shelf-stable canned preserves and root crops. We grow every single thing we sell, and we are happy to talk to you about our regenerative growing practices. Animal welfare, soil health and habitat preservation are our absolute top priorities.

Depending on supply, we may have free-range ethical eggs (from hens with names!) available for purchase, as well as other supplemental items.

Farm Pick-up day will be Saturdays from 10:00 - 2:00 pm - feel free to come and see where where your food is grown. Absolutely no dogs please, as we are a working farm with livestock, and dogs really terrify the goats and chickens. Children are welcome as long as they are always supervised.

We also offer a pick-up spot at Small Scale Bakery in Belleville, on Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m.

NB: Crop planning for a CSA is a delicate and complex balance, and our vegetables are sown and grown to mature at an intended time - so we can harvest them at peak freshness for you, every single week. Because of this, we unfortunately cannot accommodate requests to pause, double up or refund your share if you will be away on vacation during one of the weeks of the CSA. The vegetables keep growing whether we are there to harvest them or not - this is also why we run our CSA session in shorter 6 to 8 week bursts, instead of the typical 5-6 month CSA commitment. This way, you can dip out if you need to for a session. If you will be away for more than a week, our suggestion is to allow us to donate your share to a shelter or local organization.

Thanks for supporting your small, local and sustainable farm! We appreciate your business!
